The Role

We’re looking for a Founding ML / AI Engineer to own Texterra’s image intelligence from day one.

You’ll design the systems that translate visual inputs into structured creative signals. Your work will sit at the heart of the product, tightly integrated into real workflows — not bolted on.

This role directly shapes Texterra’s core IP.

What You’ll Be Building

• Image embedding and representation pipelines tuned for creative interpretation
• Feature extraction across color, composition, typography, mood, and pattern
• Evaluation approaches that respect subjective quality and human taste
• ML systems that integrate seamlessly into product workflows
• Privacy-aware ML pipelines for user-submitted visual content

Technical Expertise

• Strong background in ML and computer vision
• Experience with embeddings and representation learning for images
• Comfort shipping models into production and iterating with real users
• Ability to collaborate across engineering and design without friction

Bonus

• Experience with multimodal or generative models
• Interest in design, art, or creative tools
• Experience working where “quality” is nuanced, not binary

Stage Reality

This is an early-stage, equity-first role. Cash compensation is limited initially.

This role is best suited for someone who wants real ownership, proximity to decision-making, and meaningful long-term upside. Competitive compensation is planned once funding is secured.
